I cannot connect my Smart-Si or EMS Si to Wi-Fi. What could be the reason?

In order to fix a Wi-Fi issue, you need to be at your thermostat

On your Smart Si or EMS Si, click Menu and look at the upper right corner.

  1. You will see a Wi-Fi signal strength. Ensure that there is a red “x” on the signal strength as an indication of no wi-fi connectivity.

Setup Wi-Fi:

  1. Please check your router is powered on
  2. Please check if other devices (such as laptop, tablet or mobile phone) are connected to Wi-Fi. If not, try disconnecting the router from power source and re-connect
  3. If you have recently changed password to your Wi-Fi network, you will need to re-enter the information on your thermostat as well. To update information please follow the steps below
    1. Go to Menu-> Settings -> Wi-Fi
    2. Ensure Wi-Fi radio is “Enabled”
    3. Select your network name
    4. Click Ok and type in the new password and try connecting
    5. If the connection is successful, the screen will prompt you
    6. Go back to the home screen and ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength does not have a red “x”
